Today we have one power line here, with a voltage level of 132 kV.
The reason for the start of the licensing process is security of supply and increased consumer development in East Finnmark.
The plan for a new line is to build a 420 kV voltage level but to operate at 132 kV until the need increases.
From earlier, several thematic impact assessments for the section Adamselv - Lakselv have been carried out. Much of this will therefore be continued, in addition the same themes must also be examined for the section Skaidi - Lakselv.
A new pipeline will provide increased security of supply in the region and increased capacity for new consumption in eastern Finnmark.
